Floods from the Chaudière River, this river runs along the entire Beauce valley. Some towns located in the valley, including our town of Ste-Marie de Beauce, had to demolish several houses since the last floods were enormous and the houses suffered a lot of damage. The city bought the land and is left with several vacant lots. We would like to start a community garden project from these vacant lots. We would like to start the project with our students, their parents and other members of the community.
